Maya Williams is chosen as an Arrupe Scholar at John Carroll University

2017 Oct 2

Maya Williams is one of 40 students named as Arrupe Scholars for the John Carroll University Class of 2021. Williams is a graduate of Magnificat High School.

The Arrupe Scholars Program is a mission-based scholarship and learning opportunity tailored specifically towards creating leaders for social action. The scholarship is open to all undergraduate majors and is renewable for four years.

The John Carroll scholarship is given in honor of Rev. Pedro Arrupe, S.J., who was elected superior general of the Society of Jesus in 1965. He is the first Basque to occupy this position since the founder of the Jesuits, Ignatius of Loyola.
