William DiPasquale recognized for research internship at the Cleveland Clinic

William DiPasquale, who is pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree at John Carroll University, has completed an internship in Cellular and Molecular Medicine at the Cleveland Clinic. DiPasquale will graduate in 2018.

The John Carroll University-Cleveland Clinic Summer Research Program is a highly selective program that provides JCU students with the opportunity to explore their interest in biomedical research through a paid internship. The interns are sponsored by Cleveland Clinic researchers. James Lissemore, Ph.D., a professor in the University's Department of Biology and Christine Moravec, Ph.D., of the Cleveland Clinic's Department of Cardiovascular Medicine, serve as program coordinators.

The JCU students work full-time for 10 weeks during the summer and many students continue to work part-time in research labs during the academic year. Since its inception in 1999, more than 200 students have completed internships in more than 60 different research laboratories at the Cleveland Clinic.
